It has three beaches and is called Lac des Sables, as in sandy lake, lots of sand. Plague Venant and Plage Major are the two biggest and you can find them easily in google maps. I think it is $3 for the day. There are beaches in Tremblant on Lac Moore, very small and Lac Tremblant, very pricey. The Beach and Tennis club is a great spot but I think it is over $20 a day now. Even the locals can't just go on someone's land and swim because they feel like it. That is why people pay to go to beaches or put in a pool. Lucky for me we have our own beach. It had a small sandy beach and was a great place to swim for us kids, anyway ... the water never did get very warm ... we used to go there for at least a week every summer, and then a week at the other grandparents' cottage in PEI. Does anyone know the current name of this lake? I would like to look it up on google maps but don't really know the exact location, since my Québecois grandparents sold their cottage when I was only about 11. I drive past the end of the road quite often. You get off HWY 15 north at St Sauveur and take the 364 up through Morin Heights, sometime after that you will find the road called Montee Argenteuil. Google Domaine Flamingo in Ste Adolphe d'Howard and I think you will find what you are looking for. Probably the name of the lake was changed at some point along the way.
